Criswell Resident Dies After Extended Illness
Funeral Services Held For Deceased With Burial in Criswell Cemetery.
H. L. Stone, age 59, died Saturday at two o’clock. He had been in ill health for several years.
Born in Tennessee in 1870, Mr. Stone came to Texas with his father and other children of
this family, his mother having died while he was very young, and resided in this state ever
since. He was a member of the Methodist church.
Mr. Stone was married to Miss Sallie Pellam and to this union were born four children,
three of who survive. They are Mrs. Jessie Long of Buffalo, Mrs. Birdie May Tatum and
Edell Stone of Criswell. The other son died a number of years ago. His father, four brothers
and two sisters also survive.
The funeral was held at three o’clock Sunday afternoon with burial in Criswell cemetery.
Rev. Capps conducted the services.
