Johnny E. Ethridge
MARLIN — Johnny E. Ethridge of Route 2, Marlin, a retired truck driver, died Monday at his home. He was 66.
Services will be 2 p.m. today at Adams Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Clement Gordon and the Rev. Albert Hart officiating. Burial will be at Criswell Cemetery in Falls County.
Mr. Ethridge was born Feb. 2, 1926, in Marlin, and was a U. S. Navy veteran of World War II. He married Norma Sue Stone; she died July 28, 1984. He later married Elsie Kroll, on Feb. 14, 1992. Mr. Ethridge was a member of Teamsters Union Local 745 in Dallas and a board member of the Criswell Cemetery Association.
Survivors include his wife; a son Johnnie Elton Ethridge of Marlin; a daughter, Diana Lynn Baker of Fort Worth; a brother, Thomas W. Ethridge of Fort Worth; four sisters, Irene Haak and Tiny Montgomery, both of Waco, and Leona Shook and Lucille Lewis, both of Marlin; four stepchildren;two grandchildren; 19 stepgrandchildren; and 21 great-stepgrandchildren.
