Margie Neal Bowers Dies at Home of Aunt
Margie Neal Bowers, age 10, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Bowers of the Criswell and Ben Hur community, died at 8 p.m. Monday at the home of her aunt, Mrs. H. L. Rutherford, 302 Goddard St., Mart, after an illness of about three months. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. at the Criswell school house, conducted by Rev. Frank Cheavens, pastor of the Mart Baptist church, and Rev. Butron, Methodist pastor at Big Hill and Ben Hur. Interment Criswell cemetery with Littlepage funeral directors in charge of arrangements.
Besides her parents, deceased is survived by a brother, James, age nine, and a sister, Guynell, age 2 1/2 years; also grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin E. Bowers of the Criswell and Ben Hur community. Pallbearers: Wilford Pitts, Haskell Fife, Manyard Read, Lucian Read, Wayne McDaniel and J. C. Pitts.
