James Wilburn Bower
James Wilburn Bower, 69, of Ben Hur passed away Sunday, April 12, 1998, at a Waco hospital. Graveside services were Tuesday, April 14, at Criswell Cemetery. The Rev. Tim Watson officiated.
Mr. Bower was born May 17, 1928, in Ben Hur, Texas. He married on August 12, 1968, in Houston to Ms. Emily Delanie Blalock. He was a retired train master and worked for 10 years as a courier for Purolator. Mr. Bower was a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Emily Bower of Ben Hur; his daughter and son-in-law, Gwendolyn and Bob Gunter of Dahlonega, Georgia; his mother, Ethel Bower Pulark; two sisters, Guynell Read of Arlington and Davie Joy Webb of Arlington; and two grandchildren, Robert Bryan Gunter and Brittany Lane Gunter, both of Dahlonega, Georgia.
