Final Rites Held For Robert C. Stone in Groesbeck Sunday
Robert Cecil Stone, age 73, of Prairie Hill, died at 11:30 p.m. Thursday in a Temple hospital.
Mr. Stone was born February 14, 1902, at Putnam, Texas. He married the former Grace Handley on March 5, 1925. He was a farmer and rancher. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Services were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Groesbeck Church of Christ with Minister Richard Williams officiating, assisted by Travis Smith. Burial was in the Criswell Cemetery.
Pallbearers were nephews: G. Z. Stone, Billy K. Stone, Charles Stone Jr., Charles Edward Stone, Ronald Stone and Aubrey Stone.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, James Robert Stone of Taylor, and George H. Stone of Mart; a daughter, Mrs. Wanda Lou Woolverton of Baytown; two brothers, A. C. Stone and W. N. Stone, both of Marlin; two sisters, Miss Lula Mae Stone and Mrs. Lois Warneke both of Otto; and 10 grandchildren.
