Alex Stone Dies at Home In Criswell Community
N. Alex Stone, age 77, died at his home in the Criswell community at 6:10 a.m. Tuesday, April 19. He had suffered with a heart ailment several years. Mr. Stone was born in Tennessee and moved to Falls county and the Criswell section over 70 years ago, where he engaged in a lifetime of farming activities, from which he retired about five years ago.
Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. April 20 at Criswell, with Minister Warren Starnes, pastor of the Mart Church of Christ, officiating, and burial in the Criswell cemetery.
Surviving are seven sons, Geo. and Clifton Stone, Marlin; Wesley and William Stone, Otto; Charles and Giles Stone, Groesbeck, and Bob Stone, Frosa; two daughters, Mrs. Lula Estes, Otto, and Mrs. Lois Warneke, Mart; also 25 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
