G. B. Stone, Marlin, Dies; Rites Today
MARLIN (SPL) - Gile Borden Stone, 50, of Marlin died Saturday in a Marlin hospital. He had been in ill health several years.
Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. today in the Marlin Church of Christ. Ministers Malcom Smith and Clovis Allen will officiate with burial in Criswell Cemetery near the Limestone - Falls County line.
Mr. Stone was born at Putnam on April 19, 1910. He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. N. A. Stone.
The family moved to the Criswell community when Mr. Stone was a year old. He was reared and educated in Criswell. He taught school at Buffalo, farmed in the Big Hill area, then moved to Marlin in 1952.
He was married to Miss Mildred Wright of Kosse on July 27, 1932.
Survivors are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Johnny Ethridge of Fort Worth and Mrs. Eddie Hill of Marlin; a son, Charles Stone of Marlin; five brothers, George W. Stone, W. N. Stone and A. C. Stone,all of McClanahan, Charlie Stone of Big Hill and R. C. Stone of Prairie Hill; two sisters, Miss Lula Stone and Mrs. Lois Warneke, both of Mart; two grandchildren
