Lois L. Stone, 59, of Taylor died Thursday, May 31, 2001 at her residence.
Family visitation 5 to 7 p.m., Sunday, June 3, 2001 at Providence Funeral Home. Celebration of Life Service will be 10 a.m., Monday, Providence Chapel with burial to follow at Criswell Cemetery near Mart, Texas.
Lois was born in Elgin on October 18, 1941 to Noble (Doc) and Nettie (Hill) Murphy. On June 7, 1958, she married James Robert Stone in Halecenter, TX. Lois was a member of the Hwy. 95 Church of Christ and also a member of the Junior Women’s Study Club and many area bridge clubs. She enjoyed gardening, reading books, and playing cards.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Lois is survived by a son, Robert Stone; three daughters, Molly Zucknick and husband, Stephen, Jamie Kaatz and husband, David, all of Taylor and Deborah Kay Fluitt and husband, Jackey of Grapevine; three brothers, William Murphy and wife, Lucy, Kenneth Murphy and wife, Faye, and Client Murphy and wife, Cynthia; brother-in-law, George Stone; sister-in-law, Wanda Woolverton and husband, Paul; grandchildren, Tessa Fluitt, Jeff Miller and wife, Ashlee, Stephen D. Zucknick and fiancee, Elisabeth Henderson, Amy Zucknick, Brandon Stone, Trish Dykowski and Kelsie Kaatz.
Pallbearers will be Bill Siegmund, Greg Stefek, Tim Heine, Tim Simms, Lou Bergstrom and Ed R. Kollman.
