John F. Moore Dies in Marlin
MARLIN (SPL) -- John Franklin Moore, 66, died at his home in Marlin at 7:20 a.m. Thursday.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Adams Funeral Home, Rev. Lloyd Chapman will officiate with burial in Criswell Cemetery.
Mr. Moore was born in Hubbard on April 27, 1892. He was a farmer and cotton ginner early in his life. He later worked at a laundry in Mart. He moved to Marlin in 1936 and opened a cafe. He retired in 1950. He married Myrtle Criswell of Marlin on January 15, 1938.
Survivors are his wife of Marlin; two half-brothers, C. N. Williams of New Mexico and D. L. Williams of Hillsboro; a half-sister, Mrs. W. E. Moore of Dallas.
