Jo Ann Stone Milnes
February 25, 1937 - May 4, 2022
Jo Ann Stone Milnes, 85, of Marlin, passed away in Waco, she was born in Big Hill. Funeral services will be 4:00 p.m., Saturday, May 7, 2022, at Ward Street Church of Christ. Interment will follow in Criswell Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 7 from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the church.
Mrs. Milnes was preceded in death by her parents, William Newell and Mina Mae Ray Stone, and brothers, Conrad, Terry and Aubrey.
She is survived by her son, Michael Milnes and his wife Samenthia; granddaughters, Meagan, Shaina and Gabi and great grandson Devin.

Jo Ann Stone Milnes left this earthly realm on May 4, 2022, with her son Michael at her side. She was 85 years old.
It would be wrong to say the Jo Ann lost her battle with pancreatic cancer because she never stopped fighting. No matter how sick she was, she was always determined. When anyone else would have broken, she stayed strong. Through her, we know what resilience and perseverance truly look like. There was no quit in Jo Ann. Just because she is no longer here, it doesn’t mean she lost her fight.
She was employed at the Marlin VA Hospital for 38 years, and a member of the Ward Street Church of Christ.
Jo Ann joins her mother Mina May, father William Newell Stone and brothers Conrad, Aubrey and Terry Stone who preceded her in death.
Jo Ann is survived by her son Michael, daughter-in-law Samenthia, granddaughters Meagan, Shaina and Gabi and great grandson Devin. She is also survived by her siblings Nelda Brown, Winfred Stone and Keith Stone. Sisters-in-law Marsha Stone and Nannette Stone; as well as countless nieces, nephews and beloved friends. They invite you to join them at Ward Street Church of Christ in Marlin; for visitation at 3:00 p.m. and the funeral at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 7, 2022.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jo's memory may be made to Ward Street Church of Christ, 1305 Ward Street, Marlin, Texas 76661; and Criswell Cemetery Association, 1400 E. Navarro Ave., Mart, Texas 76664.
