Dovie Stone Winkelmann
January 18, 1929 - December 16, 2013

Dovie Stone Winkelmann, 84, of China Spring, passed away on Monday, December 16, 2013.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, December 20, at Lake Shore Funeral Home Chapel with
Rev. Scott Spence officiating. Burial will follow at China Spring Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to
8 p.m. Thursday, December 19, at Lake Shore Funeral Home, 5201 Steinbeck Bend Drive in Waco.

Dovie retired after working 30 years at J C Penney in Waco where she earned the love of so many            co-workers and customers. Every one of them got a hug each time they met. Dovie and Wink have             been faithful members of St. John United Church of Christ in Robinson for over 50 years where she           taught pre-school children. To all her family and friends just be prepared to get a big hug and kiss             the next time you meet her.

Dovie was preceded in death by her parents Toss and Addie Stone, son Buster Winkelmann, sisters,           Bonnie Sue Stone and Katherine (Kat) Schroeder, son-in-law, Bill Skiles; and numerous brothers-in-law   and sisters-in-laws.

Dovie is survived by her husband of 64 years, Wilburn (Wink) Winkelmann; children Darlene & Jim         Gorham, Karen Skiles & Terry Woodward, and Annetta & Louis Green; grandchildren, Kristy McCollum
Helm, Andy & Emily Gorham, Toni Winkelmann, Jenny & Steve James, Ashley Wickelmann, Kerri          Smith and Billy Skiles; siblings, Bobbie Kimball, Faye Koehne, Myrna & Stewart Scott, and Don & Barbara Stone; nine great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to St. John United Church of Christ in Robinson, China Spring Volunteer Fire    Department, or a charity of your choice.

Dovie never met a person she didn’t hug. She made everybody she met feel loved.
