Leatrice B. Warneke
October 12, 1930 - August 15, 2017
Leatrice Baggett Warneke, 86, of Waco, formerly of Marlin, passed away Tuesday, August 15, 2017 in a Waco hospital. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday in Mart City Cemetery with the Reverend Thomas Q. Robbins officiating.
Mrs. Warneke was born on October 12, 1930 in Troy, Texas to Lee and Josephine (Davis) Baggett. She graduated from Temple High School at the age of 16 and was the valedictorian of her class. After graduating she attended Mary Hardin Baylor College in Belton. She married Dwyane on December 24, 1949 and they celebrated over 21 wonderful years together. Mrs. Warneke was a homemaker and a great mother. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a sister-in-law, Mary Katherine Gross.
Survivors include her sons, Dwyane Warneke, Jr. and his wife, Linda of Waco, Larry Wayne Warneke of Waco and Steven Warneke and his wife, Jeany of Waco; daughter, Patricia Patterson and her husband, Jack of Marlin; grandchildren, Lee Warneke, Garrison Droesche and his wife, Chelsi, Stefanie Warneke and Peyton Warneke; 4 great grandchildren; sister, Rita Buro and her husband, Richard of Temple; sister-in-law, Patsy Vanous and her husband, John; nieces, Joni Gross of Mart, Cindy Strunck of Lafayette, Louisiana and Robyn Buro of Temple; nephew, Jay Vanous of Mart, and her special friends "The Golden Girls" of Marlin.
