Vernon L. Talley
October 8, 1919 - September 6, 2009
Vernon L. Talley, 89, of Waco, passed away Sunday, Sept. 6, 2009. Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd. Burial will follow in Criswell Cemetery near Mart. Those unable to attend the service may view it online at www.oakcrestwaco.com
Vernon was born in Duck Creek, Texas to Willie and Nora (Broxton) Talley. He owned Talley Lawn Mower Repair.
Vernon was preceded in death by his brother, Truitt Talley; grandson, Joey Schockley; and daughter-in-law, Janette Talley.
He is survived by sons, Allen Talley and wife, Pat of Waco, and Jerry Talley and wife, Patsy of Pasadena; daughters, Shirley Demarco of Pasadena and Elizabeth Martinez of Waco; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Special thanks to Regent Care and Southern Care Hospice. Memorials may be made to Regent Care of Woodway.
