Mrs. Shirley Mae Stone

MART -- Shirley Mae Stone, a Mart homemaker, died Sunday at a Groesbeck hospital.  She was 89.
    
Services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Groesbeck Church of Christ, Travis Smith and Richard Williams officiating.  Burial will be at Criswell Cemetery.

Mrs. Stone was born Jan. 17, 1902, in the Big Hill community near Groesbeck.  She married Charles C. Stone on Aug. 21, 1922, in Waco; he died Dec. 30, 1971.  Mrs. Stone was a member of the Church of Christ.  Preceding her in death were a son, Marshall Stone; a sister; three brothers; and three grandchildren.
    
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Johnny E. (Louise) Ray of Marlin, Mrs. Travis (Maxine) Smith of Mart and Mrs. B. L. (Martha Ann) LeNoir of Lancaster; five sons, Charles Stone Jr., G. Z. (Peaches) Stone and Billy Kyle Stone, all of Groesbeck, W. N. Stone of Mexia and Jack Stone of Temple; a brother, Kirby Stone of Del Rio; three sisters, Lillian Caddell of Sundown, Nettie Smith of Mart and Ola Fay Walts of Bosqueville; 27 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
   
Groesbeck Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
