September 12, 1931 - October 11, 2007
Leland McClain, 76, entered into rest Thursday, Oct. 11, 2007. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 14, at Criswell Cemetery with the Rev. Joe Goodson, Elder, Bill Walker and Chaplin Kevin Avery officiating. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, at Adams Funeral Home.
Mr. McClain was born Sept. 12, 1931, in Delight, Ark., to George and Bertha McClain. He married Jessie Louise Castleberry Nov. 22, 1968, in Groesbeck, Texas; she preceded him in death Dec. 16, 1985. He was a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, and a veteran of the United States Army. He enjoyed his children and grandchildren.
Survivors include four sons, Richard McClain of Waco, John and wife, Alice McClain of Marlin, George McClain of Stonington, Ill., and Pete and wife, Cassie McClain of Rosebud; one daughter, Loretta and Robert Castlow of Sommerville, Texas; two brothers, Cleland and wife, Barbara McClain of Dawson, Texas, and William and wife, Carol McClain of Peekskill, N.Y.; 12 grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
