To The Democrat:

Here we come again to the dear old Democrat with our little budget of news.  Most of
the farmers have planted corn and are talking of planting cotton.

As most all are up with their work, fishing and hunting is all the go.

Gardens are looking pretty and green.  Hope we will have some cabbage soon.

Grady Blakely and Carpenter Curlee visited Lee Lawrence Sunday morning.

Miss Ola Curlee spent the day with Miss Pauline Blakely Sunday.

Miss Mattie Boyd visited Miss Lucy Caddell Sunday evening.

Miss Josie Johnson visited Miss Leacy Wolf and her sister, Sophie Sunday evening.

A. B. McKenzie and wife of Waco visited relatives in this community.

T. L. Criswell and family of Odds visited J. C. Criswell Sunday.

Willie Christian and wife of Ben Hur spent the day with their parents, Mr. and Mrs.
B. G. Blakely Sunday.

Miss Emma Wolf recently of Mart is in our community again.

Cleve Blakely and wife visited Mr. and Mrs. B. G. Blakely Sunday.

Sam Shelton of Groesbeck was in our community Saturday and Sunday.

M. T. Durham and wife of Odds visited J. C. Criswell Sunday.

The entertainment at Mr. Johnson’s last Saturday night was well attended.
