FALLS COUNTY NEWS

ODDS ITEMS.

To The Democrat:

Well, we have had another good rain.  With a few more such rains a fine corn crop will be assured.

Rev. T. A. Leake, county missionary for the Baptists, preached here Saturday and Sunday.

J. E. Coleman and family visited friends at Coit Sunday.

We regret to report little Ruth Matthews being sick, but glad to say she is improving at this writing.

We receive our mail earlier now owing to our carrier, B. F. Newman, being the happy owner of a new motor cycle.

Mr. and Mrs. John C. McKinney went to preaching at Criswell school house Sunday evening.

John C. Erskine was prospecting over about Big Creek last Sunday.  He seems to be undecided as to where to locate, but we believe his judgement is good.

Prof. Elmer McKinley and sisters, Misses Beulah and Amelia, attended church at Hope last Sunday.

Mr. Hammer and Miss Emma Walker of McClanahan attended prayer meeting here Sunday night.

Mrs. Brady and children visited Mrs. Cherry Sunday.

T. L. Criswell sold a lot of cattle to Mart parties this week.

Rip Van Winkle.
