Mrs. Mary Holden
HILLSBORO -- Mrs. Mary Jo-Ann Holden, 45, of Hillsboro died Monday in Hillsboro.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Line Street United Methodist Church, the Rev. James Shuler and the Rev. Bill Shirley officiating. Burial will be in Criswell Cemetery near Marlin.
Mrs. Holden was born April 14, 1935 in Thornton. She was a graduate of Mart High School and Texas Wesleyan College in Fort Worth. She taught school in Georgia for three years and married Ellis Holden in 1957. She was a member of Line Street United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband; her mother, Mrs. Hazel Peek of Columbus; two sons, Wendell Lane Holden and Winfred Dale Holden, both of Hillsboro; three sisters, Mrs. Marvin Langy of Columbus, Mrs. Deanie Shollette of New Braunfels and Mrs. Frank Wagner of Jacksonville; two half-brothers, Jerry Peek of Sealey and Bobby Peek of Brookshire; and a half-sister, Patsy Schmidt of Weimer.
The family has designated the Line Street United Methodist Church Building Fund for memorials.
