Laura E. Mercer Hasbrouck, 96
February 11, 1922 - April 23, 2018
We are announcing the passing of Laura E. Hasbrouck. Laura was born in Martinsville, Texas, February 11, 1922 to Jesse and Emma Mercer. She was called home by her Heavenly Father April 23, 2018.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman H. Hasbrouck, who passed March 1, 2004.
Laura is survived by her three sons and their families, A. Paul and Linda Smarrella of Tijeras, New Mexico, James W. and Cathy Smarrella of Alamogordo, New Mexico and Ronald E. and Helen Smarrella of New Caney, Texas. From these three sons she was blessed with eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
The family will greet friends and family members from 6:00 pm to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 4, 2018 at Alamogordo Funeral Home, 2301 First Street. The funeral service will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1800 23rd Street, Alamogordo, NM at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 5, 2018. Burial will follow at Monte Vista Cemetery, 1590 First Street.
The Hasbrouck family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home, Inc.
to direct the funeral services.
