Ralph Weldon Durham
March 29, 1927 - May 29, 2014
Ralph W. Durham born March 29, 1927 in Dallas, Texas died peacefully at home on May 29, 2014. He was the eldest of eight children born to Mattie and W.A. Durham.
He is survived by his beloved wife Helen of 52 years whom he cherished, also Ralph's son Russell and their daughter Andrea Davis, one granddaughter, and two great grandchildren. Also three brothers, two sisters, four sister-in-laws, and one brother-in-law.
Ralph served in the Army during World War II and in the Air force where in 1956 was selected to serve as Administrative Assistant to the commanding General of Sandia Base. After his service he was active in Real Estate and car sales, a real born "honest" salesman. At retirement he entered the Antique business becoming very knowledgeable in this field.
His study at home contained a well-rounded library of diverse manuscripts. In past years he managed to read most of them.
A Trisagion service will be held Sunday at 7p.m. at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday at Holy Trinity. Burial will follow at Restland Cemetery and than a luncheon at the community hall.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the Benevolent Fund at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church.
