Dillan Caddell
July 13, 1921 - February 27, 2016
U.S. Veteran Dillan Caddell, 94, of Guymon, passed away Saturday morning, February 27, 2016 at his home.
The son of Andrew George and Lillian Morine (Stone) Caddell, he was born July 13, 1921 in Marlin, Texas.
Dillan graduated from the Levelland, Texas High School with the Class of 1938, and attended Draughns Business School in Lubbock, Texas. He served in the US Navy during World War II. Following his Honorable Discharge from the Navy, Dillan and Aldene Blair were united in marriage on November 24, 1946 in Lubbock, Texas. They moved to Guymon from Levelland and have been residents since.
Dillan was engaged in farming and was an active member of the Grace Southern Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Nolan Caddell, sister, Nellene Horton, a great grandson and a great granddaughter.
Survivors include his wife, Aldene of 69 years, five children: Carole Rhoades and husband, Charlie of Guymon, Amy Parnell and husband, Rick of Pampa, Texas, Rick Caddell and wife, Crystal of Guymon, Randy Caddell and wife, Vicki of Garden City, Kansas and Donna Walker and husband, Larry of Lubbock, Texas. Survivors also include ten grandchildren: Cara Resendez, Chad Rhoades, Ryan Parnell, Kyle Parnell, Cody Caddell, Amanda Caddell, Andy Caddell, Adam Caddell, Kaci Walker and John Walker, and sixteen great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday morning, March 1st at 10:00 a.m. at the Grace Southern Baptist Church with Pastor Tom Freeman, Rev. Randy Caddell and Rev. Rick Parnell officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in the Elmhurst Cemetery. Services are under the care of the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon.
Memorials in memory of Dillan may be given to the Grace Southern Baptist Church or Oklahoma Honor Flight. Memorials will be accepted at the Bunch-Roberts Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1112, Guymon, Oklahoma 73942.
