(Excerpt from Criswell Cemetery Association Minutes)

Thirtieth Annual Memorial Service

The thirtieth annual Criswell Cemetery Association meeting was held on June 14, 1981.

The meeting was opened by singing “Showers of Blessings,” appropriate, as this was a very wet Sunday.  Thomas Criswell gave the opening prayer.  Another hymn was sung and then special music was sung by Ray Norman, John McBride and Michael Anderson of the Bellmead First Baptist Church.

The minutes of the last meeting were read.   Pauline Tate will begin working on securing an historical marker for the cemetery.

Special music “He Means All to Me” was sung by the trio.  The mortuary list was read by Mrs. Rucker.   Mrs. Ellis Holden, Mrs. Julia Walts and Mrs. Marie Clemmons Rosser were on the list.

Wanda Havranek, program chairman, introduced Harvey Patterson, a Bible major at Howard Payne University, as our speaker.

The closing prayer was given by Mr. Louie Wolf and the morning service was dismissed.

The directors met in the afternoon.  The three new directors are George Stone, R. C. Walts and Milton Albright.  The directors voted to keep J. E. Ray as president.

The afternoon singing was led by Ora Breed.
