Edgar L. Tatum of Mexia Dies
MEXIA (SPL) -- Edgar Lee Tatum, 66, of Mexia died Thursday at a Groesbeck hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Blair-Stubbs Chapel, Rev. W. B. Hammond and Rev. Charles Hartsfield officiating. Burial will be in Criswell Cemetery.
Mr. Tatum was a native of Jewett. He lived in Mexia for 16 years. He was an employee of Mexia State School.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Bertie Mae Tatum of Mexia; four sons, Edgar Lee Tatum Jr. of Waco, Vernon R. Tatum of Speegleville, Billy J. Tatum of Houston and Henry L. Tatum of Mexia; four sisters, Mrs. Lillian Durant and Miss Bertie Tatum, both of Huntsville, Mrs. Clara Graham of Irving and Mrs. Frances Ainsworth of Mesquite; a brother, Cecil Tatum of Huntsville; 14 grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
