Edgar Tatum,
mechanic for high department
Edgar (Junior) Tatum of Waco, a retired mechanic, died Wednesday at his residence. He was 67.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Wilkirson-Hatch Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Travis Smith officiating. Burial will be at Criswell Cemetery.
Mr. Tatum was born Dec. 2, 1927 in Jewett. He was retired as a mechanic from the Texas Department of Highways and Public Transportation. He was a World War II Army veteran. He married Bernice Haschke on Jan. 12, 1950, in Groesbeck and was a member of Mart Church of Christ. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Sharon Carter of Waco and Carolyn Tatum of Richmond, Va.; two brothers, Billy Joe Tatum of Houston and Henry Tatum of Waco; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Hillcrest Hospice Association.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Wilkirson-Hatch Funeral Home.
