Bernice Tatum
January 21, 1933 - October 23, 2014
Bernice Tatum, formerly of Waco, passed away Thursday, October 23, 2014, at her residence. Services will be 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, October 29, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with the Rev. Alec Ylitalo officiating. Burial will follow at Criswell Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 28, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey.
Bernice was born January 21, 1933, in Gonzales, Texas. Her parents were Ella and Buel O'Neal. She was a member of Richfield Christian Church in Waco. She enjoyed spending time with family, playing games with her friends and traveling.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Junior Tatum; and one sister, Peggy O'Neal.
She is survived by her two daughters, Sharon Butts and husband, Gary, of Round Rock, Texas, and Carolyn Tatum and partner, Mary Lawrence, of San Antonio; three brothers, James, Robert and Howard O'Neal; two sisters, Mary Kathryn Sims and Dorothy Wilson; two grandchildren, Gail Coulter and husband, Toby, and Scott Carter; five great-grandchildren, Courtney Carter, Austin and Travis Coulter, and Katelynn Carter and Zoe Serrano; and many nieces and nephews.
