Mrs. Betty Ray Motl, 66, of Royse City, Texas passed away on December 28, 2008. Funeral services for Mrs. Motl will be 1:00 p.m., Thursday, January 1, 2009 at Blair-Stubbs Chapel in Thornton. Interment will follow in the Criswell Cemetery in Falls County.
Visitation with the family will be 4 - 6 p.m. Wednesday at Blair-Stubbs Chapel in Thornton.
Mrs. Motl was born May 8, 1942 to Fred and Edna Burroughs Broxton in the Criswell Community in Falls County. She spent her life as a homemaker, devoted to and caring for her family.
She is survived by her son, Joe Williams and wife, Nancy of Royse City; grandchildren, Ashley Williams, Jeffrey Williams, Hailey Williams and Hunter Williams; sister, Helen Jean Briggs of Thornton; brother, David Fred Broxton of Ben Hur; niece, Carol Slaten; nephew, Bryan Briggs and wife, Nicole; great-nieces, Cailyn and Kenly.
Mrs. Motl was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Albert Motl in 1998; son, David Williams in 1994; brother-in-law, Aubrey Briggs in 2004.
Pallbearers will be Bryan Briggs, Hunter Williams and Jeffrey Williams.
