David Fred Broxton
David Fred Broxton, 67, of Groesbeck passed away December 28, 2012 in Waco, Texas. Graveside services were held at 2 p.m., January 1, 2013 at the Criswell Cemetery with Rev. Bill Wright, Sr. officiating.
David was born September 13, 1945 in Falls County, near Marlin, to Fred and Edna Lee Burrough Broxton. He loved the country, farming and John Wayne. He was a cowboy at heart who enjoyed the simple life. David served his country in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Betty Motl.
David is survived by a son, David F. Broxton, Jr. of Virginia; two daughters, Christa Cobb of Fairfield and Jennifer Rash of Corsicana; grandchildren, Lee O’Pry, Aubrey Cobb, Dusty Robinson, Destiney, Dalton and Dillon Tidwell, Michael and Justin Broxton; sisters, Jean Briggs of Thornton and Melba Dodson of Mart; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
