Mary Opal (Stone) Boone
Mary Opal (Stone) Boone, 68, of Ben Hur passed away on Thursday, May 28, 1998, at her residence after a lengthy illness. Graveside services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 30, in the Criswell Cemetery, in Falls County. Brother Travis Smith officiated.
Mrs. Boone was born Feb. 18, 1930, in the Criswell Community to Henry Field and Gertrude Bower Stone. She was a housewife and a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband, Claude Wallace Boone, who she married June 24, 1950; her mother, Gertrude Stone Jennigan of Conroe, TX; two sons, Barry Hartnett of Ben Hur and Harley Boone of Pasadena, TX; two daughters, Mary Beth Semosh of Ben Hur and Claudia Sutherland of Windom, TX; one sister, Teresa S. Reeves of Sheridan, Arkansas; one brother, Billy A. Stone of Conroe, TX; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
