Helen Lyles Walts
March 2, 1927 - July 8, 2012
Helen Lyles Walts, 85, went home to the Lord on Sunday, July 8, 2012. Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park.
Helen loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and served him faithfully. She was born in Port Arthur to her father, Pete Fisher, and mother, Cecelia Redinger. She graduated from Texas Wesleyan University.
She was married to Jack Walts for 50 years before he passed away. She was a teacher in the H-E-B and Birdville school systems. She loved her family and looked forward to family gatherings. Mother's last few months were spent in happiness at the Wellington, where she loved everybody. We love you, Mom, and will miss you terribly.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and one granddaughter, Casey.
Survivors: Son, Ed Walts; daughters, Linda Nicholson and husband, Ken, Cheryl Barwegen and husband, Jim; grandchildren, Kris Kraatz and wife, Holly, Danielle and Darci Walts, Matthew and Adam Nicholson, Debbie Luna and husband, Albert, Michael Barwegen and Kelli Barwegen; great- grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Jack, Nate and Ava; and special friends she loved.
