Carlene E. Smith, 80, of Riesel, entered into rest Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2, at Adams Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Frank Downes and Brother Travis Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Kosse Cemetery.
Carlene was born May 19, 1932, in Limestone County, to Elmer Carl and Nettie Stone Smith. She retired from J.C. Penny after many years of service. She loved to crochet and to have lunch with her friends from J.C. Penney every month.
Carlene was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Mary Alice Potts and Billie Ruth Vanek.
Survivors include her sister, Allene Sandhoff and husband, Donald, of Grapevine; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the Criswell Cemetery Association, 115 S. Goddard, Mart, TX 76664.
