Juanita Virginia Richardson
May 4, 1921 - August 17, 2010
Juanita Virginia Richardson, of Groesbeck, passed away Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at the Limestone Medical Center. She was 89.
Mrs. Richardson will be buried at the Thornton Cemetery on Wednesday, August 18, 2010, in accordance with her wishes for burial immediately after her death.
Juanita was born on May 4, 1921, to William Oscar Harris and Stella Maude (Kingery) Harris in Dalton, Illinois. Juanita was married to S. W. Richardson on December 7, 1963 in Arcola, Illinois. She and S. W. moved to Groesbeck about 40 years ago, and lived on Highway 164 West. She was a housewife and mother and grandmother. She will be lovingly remembered for the love and support she gave in raising three of her grandchildren, Rick Kilpatrick, David Flowers, and Kim Hargroves, and Chris Marsinko, a great grandchild.
Mrs. Richardson was preceded in death by her parents; her husband S. W. Richardson who passed away on August 30, 1985; a son, David Flowers, Sr.; a daughter, Martha Ann Patton and son-in-law, James Patton; grandson, Robert Patton; granddaughter, Laurie Flowers; long-time friend, John Hancock; and beloved chihuahua dog, Skipper.
She is survived by a son, Donald Flowers and wife Sandra, of Mattoon, Illinois; nine grandchildren (and spouses), Debbie Beard of Groesbeck; Kim Hargraves of Groesbeck; David Eugene Flowers and wife Jenny of Groesbeck; Tylene Alexander and husband Robert of Mattoon, IL, Donald Flowers, Jr. and wife Beverly of Mattoon, IL, Rick Kilpatrick of Bryan, David Laverl Flowers, Sr. of Oakland, IL, Tonya Mendoza of Groesbeck, and Juanita Cantu of Pasadena; and 35 great grandchildren.
