Bobbie Louise Ray
August 21, 1923 - September 27, 2012
Bobbie Louise Ray, 89, of Mart, entered into rest Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012. Services will be 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 30, at Ward Street Church of Christ in Marlin with David Johnson and Travis Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Criswell Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Adams Funeral Home in Marlin.
Louise was born Aug. 21, 1923, in Coryell County, to Charlie C and Shirley Mae Stone. She loved cooking, scrap-booking, poetry, sewing, crocheting and quilting. Louise also loved any kind of family get-together whether it was birthdays, holidays or just to be together.
Church was a very important part of life for Louise. She was a Sunday School teacher in the children's department and participated in the bus ministry while attending Ward Street Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Johnny Ray; daughter, Carolyn A. Ray; and two brothers.
She is survived by her sons, Bobby E. Ray and wife, Rebecca, of Austin, Gregory B. Ray and wife, Charlotte, of Choctaw, Okla., and Stanley C. Ray and wife, Crissy, of San Diego, Calif.; brothers, G.Z. "Peaches" Stone and wife, Patricia, of Groesbeck, W.N. Stone and wife, Bernadette, of Palestine, Jack W. Stone and wife, Martha, of Groesbeck, and B.K. Stone and wife, Alta, of Groesbeck; sisters, Martha LeNoir of Groesbeck, and Maxine Smith and husband, Travis of Abilene; grandchildren, Charles B. Ray, Lindsey Ray, Nicki Arnold, Jerri Grant, Ben Hall, and Genifer Harrison; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
