Otto, Nov. 15 -- Kempner Brown and Hardy Patterson were in Groesbeck on business Monday.
Howard Brown and Bud Stone were Groesbeck visitors Monday.
Miss Ida Clemmons was badly burned about the face and neck by jumping flames from an oil burner.
Miss Lois Stone has returned to school after being absent one week.
There was a large attendance at Sunday school Sunday morning, and in the afternoon Rev. C. E. Wilbanks rendered a good sermon on “Prepare to meet thy God,” which everybody enjoyed. He has accepted the call to preach at Criswell every second Sunday afternoon at 3:30. Everybody is invited to come.
Robt., George and Kirby Stone have returned from visiting relatives in west Texas.
Robt. Stone received a very bad wound while visiting his brother, as the result of being kicked by a mule between the eyes.
Arley Walts was thrown from a racing horse Thursday night, into a section harrow. He was bruised up pretty bad, receiving gashes about the head, hip and leg.
W. O. Gresham and George Broxton were in Mart Saturday on business.
Jim Patterson, Howard Brown and Jimmie Patterson were in Mart on business Friday.
Hardy and Jimmie Patterson had business in Mart Saturday.
The superintendent of Falls county schools and the health inspector visited Criswell school Wednesday.
Wedding bells have rung for “Shorty” Thomas and Miss Minnie Absher, and C. B. Childers and Miss Mary Ann Caddell.
A large bunch of young folks enjoyed themselves showering the newly wedded Sunday night. Mr. and Mrs. Shorty Thomas have gone to make their home near Hamilton, Texas.
