Glenda Joyce “Nannie” Stone Nelms, 70, of Combine, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 4, 2022, surrounded by her family.
Funeral Services: 10 a.m. Saturday, May 7 at Lake Shore Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Criswell Cemetery in Falls County.
Visitation will be 30 minutes prior to the funeral service.
Celebration of Life Service: 6:30 p.m. Thursday, May 12 at Point View Baptist Church of Combine.
Glenda was born June 21, 1951, in McLennan County to Marshall and Joyce Shehorn Stone.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Wayne Nelms, Jr.; parents, Marshall and Joyce Stone; nephew, Aaron Watson; and great nephew, Jacob Watson.
She is survived by her children, Tracie and Johnny Gaytan, Arnie and Angie Nelms, and Vincent Nelms and Tammie Reed; daughter-in-law, Laura Carsner Nelms; grandchildren, Leah and Michael Bryant, Susie Gaytan and Marcus Adger, Collin Dodson, Mason Nelms, Logan Nelms, and Sara Nelms; great grandchildren, Camden Bryant, Julian Gammons, Parker Bryant, Prince Adger, Paris Adger, Brinley Bryant, and Chase Adger; sisters, Betty Crawford and Marsha World; brother, Jimmy Stone and Stacy; many more family and friends; and beloved dog, Zeke.
Nannie was blessed with a large loving family. She had a heart of gold and a smile that could brighten anyone’s day. She loved to talk, and she never met a stranger. Her love was unconditional and her favorite place to be was with her grandkids and great-grandkids. To know her was to love her. We all will miss her so much.
