Zelda Fowler
KILLEEN -- Zelda Fowler, 77, of Killeen, died Friday at a Fort Hood hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at First Assembly of God Church in Killeen, the Rev. J. W. Buchanan officiating. Burial will be at 3 p.m. at Criswell Cemetery near Otto.
The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 tonight at Harper - Talasek Funeral Home in Killeen.
Mrs. Fowler was born December 28, 1911, in Limestone County and moved to the Killeen area in 1942. She was a member of First Assembly of God Church. She was preceded in death by her first husband in 1946, after 16 years of marriage. She married Horace Fowler on Feb. 3, 1951 in Uvalde.
Survivors include her husband; four sons, Jiles (Buddy) Hilbert of Harker Heights, Coy Hilbert of Killeen, Rex Hilbert of Midlothian and Marion D. Fowler of Troy; two daughters, Jane Breitkreutz of Marlin and Lane Grimes of Rusk; three brothers, R. T. Walts of Uvalde and Roland Walts and Billy Walts, both of Killeen; two sisters, Essie Schrader of Riesel and Juanita McDaniel of Lott; 19 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
