Oscar Leldon Grisham,
worked for General Tire
Oscar Leldon Grisham of Robinson, a retired General Tire employee, died Tuesday at his home. He was 66.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the Wilkirson-Hatch Funeral Home chapel, John Headen and the Rev. W. Bryan Thornburg officiating. Burial will follow in Criswell Cemetery.
Mr. Grisham was born November 1, 1927, in Limestone County and was reared and educated in the Criswell and Ben Hur communities. He married Betty Dempsey on Nov. 8, 1958. He had lived in Robinson over 30 years.
Mr. Grisham retired from General Tire after 36 years and became a foreman for L.L. Sams and Sons and a bus driver for Midway schools. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Robinson and the Robinson Chamber of Commerce. He was also vice president of the Robinson Band Boosters.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Grisham; two sons, Don Grisham and Tom Grisham, both of Robinson; four sisters, Coma Densman of Robinson, Letha Gradel of Woodway, Myrtle Dunn and Bobbie Christian, both of Waco; two brothers, Robert Grisham of Woodway and George Caddell of Waco; and three grandchildren.
The family will receive visitors from 7 to 9 tonight at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Community Hospice, c/o: Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center.
