FUNERAL SERVICES HELD FOR RELATIVE OF MARLINIANS
Octogenarian Buried Sunday in Criswell Cemetery at Odds.
Funeral services for George Cross, age 80, who died while visiting at Mart Thursday night, were held at Littlepage Funeral Home at Mart Sunday at 2:30 p.m. The Rev. H. H. Hargrove, pastor of Columbus Street Baptist Church, Waco, officiated. He was assisted by the Rev. Charles L. Cockrell of Mart.
Burial was in Criswell Cemetery at Odds, where the Rev. I. H. Willingham of Marlin brought a brief message. W. O. Easter of Criswell led in prayer.
Pallbearers were the following nephews of the deceased: Wesley Walker of Mart, J. D.Cross of China Springs, Scott Clewis of Waco, and Turner Criswell, Marcus Criswell and Lloyd Eaves of Marlin.
Relatives and friends attending from Marlin were: The Rev. I. H. Willingham, Mr. and Mrs. I. H. Parton, Mrs. Jeff Parton, Mrs. J. D. Mires, Mr. and Mrs. Turner Criswell, Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Goode, Marcus Criswell, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Barton, Travis Criswell, Thomas Criswell, M. M. Allen, Jack Eaves, Miss Effie Eaves, Lloyd Eaves and Mrs. Cliff A. McCoy.
