H.R. Collinsworth
June 20, 1927 - April 3, 2012
H.R. "Buddy" Collinsworth, 84, of Mart, passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2012, at a local hospital. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, April 7, at Lake Shore Funeral Home Chapel with Sam Ed Lewis and the Rev. Gary Kerger officiating. Burial will follow at Mart Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 6, at Lake Shore Funeral Home, 5201 Steinbeck Bend, in Waco.
Buddy was born June 20, 1927, at the family home in Robertson County to James Wilson and Nellie Jane (Spires) Collinsworth. He married Guy Nell Shehorn on April 7, 1945, in the Criswell Community. He was a carpenter by trade, and a member of Mart First Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Guy Nell Collinsworth; son-in-law, Joe Kimball; great-grandson, Samuel Connor Kruger; and great-granddaughter, Makayla Elizabeth Lewis.
Survivors include daughters, Ray Nell Lewis and husband, Sam Ed, of Mart, Gail Kruger and husband, Waymon, of Weatherford, and Deborah Sue Kimball of Mart; son, Enoch Collinsworth and wife, Ranelle, of Weatherford; ten grandchildren, Waymon Kruger, Mike Kruger and wife, Wendi, Donna Lucia and husband, Tommy, Adron Lewis and wife, Amy, Brad Lewis and wife, LaDonna, John Kimball, Becky Rice and husband, Trenton, Andrea Hiatt and husband, Zach, Jessica Collinsworth and fiance, Ryan Barnhart, and Hannah Morton and husband, Chris; 17 great-grandchildren, Trey, Cameron, Kaleb, Mikelyn, Chase, Nick, Megan, Jacob, Madyson, Emma, Kylar, Erin, Tracer, Chody, Hadley, Avery and Tenley; sister, Janie Blann of Aledo; sister-in-laws, Joyce Stone of Mart, and Emma Jean Chamberlain of Marlin; brother-in-law, Wade H. Shehorn and wife, Ann, of Waco; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
