Funeral Services Held Last Week For Mr. R. F. Brackeen
Funeral services for Rabun Franklin Brackeen, 87, of Marlin was held Wednesday April 9, at 2 p.m. at the Criswell Community Center with the Rev. Jack Gilleland officiating. Mr. Brackeen died April 7 at Elmwood Nursing Center of Marlin.
He was born Dec. 10, 1898, in Ellis County. He was a retired farmer, a member of the Church of Christ and a World War II Army Veteran.
Survivors include two nephews, J. D. Hall of Waco and J. T. Williford of Santa Clara Calif.; and four nieces, Mrs. Jewel Ferguson of Mexia, Mrs. Myrtle Sanders of Groesbeck, Mrs. Luttie Bowen of Handford Calif. and Mrs. Faye Burleson of San Francisco, Calif.
Blair Stubbs Funeral Home of Mexia was in charge of arrangements.
(Rabun's parents, William Thomas & Lea Ann Tucker Brackeen, and sisters, Myrtle Brackeen and Arkie Delphia Brackeen Hall are buried at Criswell Cemetery.)
