John Absher Dies
John Andrew Absher, 62, was found dead in his bed in Waco Monday morning, April 7. He was a brother of W. E. Absher of Mart.
Mr. Absher was born near Groesbeck Dec. 22, 1895. He resided in the Criswell community and in the Otto area most of his lifetime and engaged in farming. He started cafe work about 1936 and in 1947 he moved from Otto to Waco and was employed by a cafe there at the time of his death. He was never married.
Funeral services were held at the Criswell church Tuesday, April 8, with burial in the Criswell cemetery.
Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. W. W. Dewvall of Caldwell and Mrs. H. C. Thomas of Grapevine; a brother, W. E. Absher of Mart.
