Twenty-Ninth Annual Memorial Service
The twenty-ninth annual Criswell Cemetery Association meeting was held on June 8, 1980.
The meeting was opened with prayer and hymns were sung. Rev. A. A. Bratcher of Marlin was the speaker. The mortuary list was read by Mrs. Jewel Rucker.
Solos were sung by Jane Barron and Louie Hicks. The person coming the longest distance was Mary Semosh, from Lake Charles, Louisiana. The eldest lady was Lula Stone of Otto and the eldest man was Mr. John Pulark of Mart.
The nominating committee submitted Louie Wolf, J. E. Ray and O. L. Grisham as new directors for
1980 to 1983.
The morning service adjourned and dinner was enjoyed by all.
A directors meeting was held in the afternoon. Election of officers: president, J. E. Ray; vice-president, G. Z. Stone; Shirley Stone and Shirley Caddell were kept as treasurer and secretary.
